Blast Takes Three Police Officers Amid Property Removal Action in the Verona Area

A trio of officers perished and no fewer than 15 people were hurt in an apparently premeditated gas explosion at a country home in Italy's north.

The explosion took place as law enforcement and fire personnel went into the house close to the Verona region to enforce an court-ordered eviction for three siblings who were older adults.

One male and one female got detained at the site and a third person who escaped following the blast was located not long after. All three have been taken to hospital.
