Los Angeles witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Supporters worldwide united with local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Local events included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.

The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations started well before the parade, with Dodgers fans lighting fireworks in the streets of the city center on the previous evening.
The World Series MVP, awarded the MVP of the championship, commented directly about the victory.
“Losing is not an option,” Yamamoto stated. “I love the Dodgers. This city means everything to me.”

However, Mark Walter received a cooler reception at the celebration. Recordings from the event appear to show Walter walking onstage to a mix of applause and jeers, with jeers interrupting his speech.
The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated quarter-million people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
