The Perfect Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form According to the Astrological Sign
The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement within the community. Starting with the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive designs that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: How can connect this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the good side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, prepare to get burned.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, both in its regular and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will defend their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many previous official descriptions mention their craving for sweet sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Mega Medicham
Observe this total royalty. You cannot convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, providing an endless fountain of gossip to those who wants to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to foresee an opponent's future actions, which seems quite like a people-smart Twins.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
Cancer is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign known for frequently becoming wrapped up in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Aside from the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is obviously Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion offers to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s typical of a Lion to be staging a performance, even if for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Maiden is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Maiden when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a strategy.
The Scales – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who employs the feelers on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Always compassionate – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress even more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a show. Being a Archer myself, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly little entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can imagine.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee disasters ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who often always think they’re correct. Interestingly, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-fire sign that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall daunting aura is also very Aquarius. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and converts it into strength.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
